While video walls offer advantages such as high resolution and brightness, there are a number of drawbacks. A basic 2x2 video wall requires four individual LCD panels. Selfridges In-window Video Wall Display Overcomes Direct Sunlight
Selfridges, a chain of high-end department stores based in the United Kingdom, recently needed to replace its in-window video wall display. The window—Window 3—faces onto London’s famed Oxford Street—renowned as one of the busiest shopping districts in the world. The video wall display is employed by Selfridges to advise customers on key in-store information, promote upcoming events, such as new product launches, book signings, and showcase new designers. The World Cup Shines Bright on DynaScan High Brightness Displays
Throughout the course of the World Cup, CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company)has been presenting World Cup viewing parties across Canada. Each Saturday, during the tournament, live games are shown in a different city on a 4×4 video wall, comprised of 16 DS47LT4 2500 nit high brightness LCDs. Working with Toronto-based BOOM! Marketing, the companies travel across the country with a satellite truck to provide the live video feed. The events are free to the public. read full article
